中国首次发现锌绿钾铁钒是1985年。
这年7月，兰州大学地质系教师李万茂、陈国英等人在青海发现了一种新矿物，他们定名为锌绿钾铁钒。
1986年，国际矿物学会新矿物与矿物命名委员会决定同意对这一新矿物的命名。

Green Zinc Potassium Iron Vanadium Firstly Found in China
Green zinc potassium iron vanadium was found in China firstly in 1985.
Several teachers of Department of Geology, Lanzhou University, Li Wanmao, Chen Guoying etc. who discovered a new mineral in Qinghai Province and then named it the green zinc potassium iron vanadium.
In 1986, The International Society of New Minerals and Mineral Nomenclature Committee agreed the name of the new mineral.
