中国第一部戏曲史，是清末民国初年王国维所著的《宋元戏曲考》。
《宋元戏曲考》一书，论述宋、金、元戏剧的渊源，戏剧文学及其后世的影响，兼及曲调和演出。
它对宋以前、元以后的情况以及元代的南戏也附作了介绍。
本书成书于1912年。商务印书馆出版此书时，改名为《宋元戏曲史》。

China’s First History Book on Operas
China’s first history book on operas was ‘Song Yuan Opera Study’ written by Wang Guowei in end of the Qing Dynasty and early years of the Republic of China.
The book introduced the origin, opera literature and impact of Song-Jin-Yuan Operas , their melody and performance as well.
It also provided information about operas such as those before the Song Dynasty, those after the Yuan Dynasty and the Southern Opera in Yuan Dynasty.
The book was finished in 1912 and renamed to ‘Song Yuan Opera History’ when published by The Commercial Press.
