1978年6月，她在第5届奥林匹克桥牌双人赛中，和同伴合作，连续击败了74对世界第一流的桥牌高手，夺取冠军，赢得“世界桥牌女皇”的称号。

China’s First Queen of The World Bridge Game
Yang Xiaoyan (杨小燕）was China’s queen of the world bridge game.
She was from Beijing and later settled in USA.
In June, 1978,in the doubles competition of the 5th Olympic Bridge Games, she and her bridge game teammates defeated 74 pairs of world-class top opponents and won championship, called ‘Queen of The World Bridge Game’.
